Our Partners

1548 Heights has three Partners in Mission, to whom we give 10% of our contribution and with whom we work closely. We also assist other ministries in various ways.

Arms of Hope

Arms of Hope is a not-for-profit Christian care organization that assists children and single-mother families in need, including a Family Outreach Program in Houston.

Heights Interfaith ministry food pantry

As a local branch of the Houston Food Pantry, Heights Interfaith Ministries strives to provide food for struggling families.

Igreja de Cristo em Itu

(The Church of Christ in Itu, Brazil)

Igreja de Cristo supports the missionaries Mark and Ali Kaiser as they lead the church and community members in lives of service. They help the growing needs of Crescimento Limpo—a sober home, community garden, café, and chapel—aimed to assist the homeless community in Itu. Mark and Ali have also launched Camp Roots, a bilingual teen summer camp, and support CURA, a medical mission.

Free the Captives

Free the Captives is a Houston-based Christian organization that works with teenage survivors of sex trafficking. Support this movement by participating in their annual Super Heroes 5K in the spring.

Small Steps Nurturing Center

Small Steps Nurturing Center provides education, support, Christian environment, transportation, and meals to economically at-risk children living in the First, Second, and Fifth Wards of Houston. The Church at 1548 Heights partners with Small Steps for an annual Christmas pajama drive. You can view the organization website for more ways to get involved.
